The James Brand x VMP Abbey Knife

The cassette tape reached its peak in the 80s, eventually taking a back seat to the CD in the 90s. The CD, too, suffered a timely death at the hands of digital music and streaming services. What remains among the Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon Music giants of the streaming world is Vinyl, an old-school medium still popular among audiophiles thanks to it’s warm, rich, and authentic sound quality not found anywhere else.

To celebrate those who still covet the record, The James Brand has teamed up with record of the month club Vinyl Me, Please to create the Abbey Knife.

The Abbey is a small fixed blade knife meant for gently slicing open your latest delivery of vinyl records, or any other task that requires a basic utility knife. It’s made from corrosion resistant stainless steel, while the handle features a grippy inlay made from recycled vinyl records.
