Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Hypercar

Introducing, yet again, the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 engine from Lamborghini. Although in this case, it is for track use only. The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Hypercar, limited to just 40 total examples, was born to race. Developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the SCV12 is a direct descendant of both the Miura Jota and the Diablo GTR.

Just about every Lamborghini ever made can put down impressive lap times for its era. Stefano Domenicali, the CEO and Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, stated that the Essenza SCV12 offers the purest track experience available from their brand. The Essenza Hypercar promises a day at the track like never before.

Capable of delivering over 830 horsepower, the Essenza offers an incredible power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 kg/hp. Although the official curb weight has yet to surface, with an all carbon fiber monocoque chassis, the SCV12 Hypercar is sure to be as lightweight as possible.

Drawing inspiration from F1 racing, the multi-function steering wheel includes a display screen with a futuristic design. Unique exhaust pipes designed by Capristo reduce back pressure, improve performance, and enhance the exhilarating exhaust notes of the naturally-aspirated V12 engine. An X-trac sequential six-speed transmission combines with rear-wheel drive for a thrilling experience.

Lamborghini’s Essenza is also the first GT car to adhere to FIA prototype safety rules. Since it is a track car, designers also made sure to engineer the SCV12 to feature track-ready aerodynamics such as a front splitter, an adjustable double-profile rear wing and much more.

Best of all, Essenza customers get the chance to become part of an exclusive Lamborghini club. This club grants access to unique programs, allowing them to take their new hypercar on the most prolific racing circuits in the world.

Customers will also have access to a recently built, exclusive storage service located in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Each car will have a personalized garage along with dedicated services, such as a 24-hour live webcam to keep an eye on their prized possession via an app.

With just 40 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Hypercar vehicles planned, the race has already begun. Chances are you won’t ever see one in person, but then again, when racing at the track, maybe you don’t want to.
