Nike ACG Lowcate

Published By

When Nike first dropped their ACG (All Condition Gear) line in 1989, the idea was to create  shoes and apparel for the great outdoors. Meant to handle different terrain and weather conditions, the line really lived up to the hype. Since its inception more than thirty years ago, the line has gone on to become a cult-classic favorite with sneaker aficionados and collectors alike.

As part of its ACG summer collection, the brand has introduced the Lowcate, a sneaker inspired by the Pacific Northwest — specifically the rugged landscape of Spirit Lake in Washington State. Focusing on  three qualities: breathability, freedom of motion, and quick-thinking utility, the shoe features an updated lug pattern to grip slick and rocky terrain, the midfoot plate provides underfoot stability, and a mixed upper provides extra breathability.
