Instead of packing the whole jacket with the same insulation, the Orvis Pro Insulated Hoodie is body-mapped with super warm but packable Primaloft Gold at the head, arms, and core, and temp-regulating Polartec Alpha at the sides. So if you’re working hard, you’re comfortable. If you’re out there waiting for something to bite, you’re also comfortable.
The shell is a ripstop nylon with mechanical stretch for movement. A unique coating keeps things breathable while still keeping out the wind and rain. Layers are welcome here, with a low-profile scuba hood and an active cut that make them perfect under heavier coats. The whole thing stuffs into the internal pocket which means you’ll always have a well-thought-out jacket whether you’re fishing or heading out on a day when you don’t trust those clouds to the north.
