Timex loves flipping through their archive collection to bring back favorites from the ’70s and ’80s. One our personal favorites is the reissue of the Liquid Crystal Analog (LCA) Watch, although, for James Bond enthusiasts, the Q Timex Reissue Digital LCA reminds us more of the Seiko G757 Sports 100 worn by Bond himself in the 1983 film Octopussy.
The Q Timex Reissue Digital LCA recreates the same wrist presence from the original, including the paltry yet highly-wearable 32.5mm case, digital/analog display, and, of course, the single-bulb backlight that provides just enough light in the dark to almost read what time it is, and nothing more. Additionally, all the regular staples are included such as a Chronograph stop watch, alarm, and countdown timer.
And unlike the lightweight rubber band that resides on our favorite vintage piece — Casio’s F-91W — the Q Timex Reissue Digital LCA sports a stainless steel bracelet that would look right at home in an ’80s Bond film.
