Ram Revolution BEV Concept Truck

Published By

Over the years, Ram trucks have become one of the most popular pickups in the entire industry. It was only a matter of time before the future of Ram trucks joined the EV revolution. Introducing the Ram Revolution BEV Concept Truck, a battery-electric vehicle version of the prominent 1500-series pickup truck.

At first glance, longtime Ram enthusiasts will notice the futuristic styling of the Revolution EV truck. Perhaps one of the most noticeable changes is the facelift itself. The updated front end features full LED tuning fork-style headlamps and a modernized RAM badge across the grille.

An almost chopped-top roofline absolutely nails it when it comes to styling, practically like a Chrysler 300 had a love child with a Ram truck. Make your way to either side of the Ram EV pickup and you will notice the B-pillar is gone. Ram made the doors swing with a classic “saloon-style” opening, which enabled them to completely remove the B-pillar from the picture.

The interior layout is not only spacious, it is also flexible. You can even use it as a workspace thanks to the ability to remove the center console revealing a flat-fold surface you can use as your mobile desk.

Ram is rewriting the book on pickup trucks without reinventing the wheel. For example, the Ram BEV Concept Truck features an industry-first third row of jump seats. There is a fully powered mid-gate which features mounted jump seats with a removable lower section.

This third-row seat configuration offers cargo flexibility thanks to the ability to pass through the area if you need to haul something in the frunk that is up to 18-feet long. This Ram BEV truck is powered by two different electric drive modules, or in other words, the motors. The two electric motors combine to give the Ram Revolution EV full all-wheel-drive capability.

If you use a DC-fast charger, you can add 100 miles of range with only 10 minutes of charge time with the RAM BEV Concept Truck. Ram promises their EV truck will be a segment leader in the following categories: range, towing, payload, and charge time.

From using sustainable materials throughout the interior to working toward the goal of meeting the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, Ram is looking to electrify its entire lineup in the future. Some industry rumors swirling around suggest a production version of the Ram Revolution BEV Concept Truck could be ready as soon as 2024.

Current Ram drivers know to expect a quick to borderline fast pickup with plenty of power from the truckmaker. Even if it is an EV, the executives at Ram know their loyal customers expect the capable workhorse and high performance trends to continue in any truck they make.

Stay tuned to Ram for more updates on their transition into the BEV world in the very near future. This company has been working hard behind the scenes and it looks like they are almost ready to join the EV party. Until then, happy off-roading in your combustion-engine powered Mopar truck. Ram trucks are born to work hard and play hard, just like you.
