Steve McQueen 1971 Husqvarna 250 Cross

Published By

In this fickle world, two things will rate consistently at the top of the cool meter: Motorcycles and Steve McQueen. A motorcycle once owned by Steve McQueen? The cool meter just broke.

This Husqvarna 250 is about to go to up for bid at Bonham’s one-day Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction and the bidding starts at $50 grand. Not bad for a bike that McQueen bought for $898. Invoices and DMV records prove the authenticity of the bike’s lineage and there’s even a note on the invoice directing the bike to be shipped to a Los Angeles bike shop “for Steve to have picked up.”

It’s been through a few owners since the actor’s 1971 purchase, including a restoration at one point along the way. It runs and revs and is ready to ride with a recent tune up by a Husqvarna expert, so break out your bid paddle and prepare to up your cool. – Learn More
