Every rider dreams of recreating any Steve McQueen scene on a vintage machine. However, not every rider gets to cruise Steve McQueen’s 1968 Husqvarna Viking 360 Motorcycle. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to rip the grips of a bike Steve McQueen actually owned?

Now is your chance thanks to RM Sotheby’s. This classic ‘68 Husqvarna Viking 360 is available for sale and it could be yours. Not only did this timeless Husqvarna steal the heart of the Hollywood hero, famous motocross rider Bengt Åberg raced with it back in the day.

That is how this particular Viking 360 motorcycle captured the eye of McQueen in the ‘60s. Steve witnessed Åberg racing on the Husqvarna over a series of races. By the end of the third race, McQueen not only knew he wanted a Viking 360, he made an offer on the Husqvarna Åberg was actually racing.

Needless to say, Åberg finished the season on a different bike while Steve McQueen raced the Viking to his collection. Purchasing this historic motorcycle will include the documentation proving Steve McQueen’s previous ownership.

Firing up the single cylinder, two-stroke 360cc engine is all it takes to spark your day. The 4-speed gearbox keeps things old school, the way you want it to be when riding a classic motorcycle. Nothing feels better than the freedom ahead as you sail through the wind like a Viking.

A full 14-month restoration, completed in 2014, means this vintage Husqvarna motorcycle is ready to roar in the modern era. All you have to do is hop on and ride.
