Terrapin Luau Krunkles IPA

Published By

The story of world-traveling IPA brewer Krunkles continues with Terrapin’s Luau beer: A tropical, hoppy tribute to the Hawaiian islands’ favorite juice, POG.

For those not in the know, that stands for Passionfruit, Orange, and Guava, a juice blend that’s been guzzled by Hawaiian children (and adults!) since 1971. Terrapin has reimagined this classic Polynesian flavor combo within the confines of a richly hopped IPA with a full seven different hop varietals. Combine that with a touch of wheat and honey malt in the mash bill, and you have one seriously unique beer.

And the end result? Terrapin’s Luau IPA drinks much smoother and easier than you might imagine, and the generous hopping cleans up any lingering sweetness or fruitiness. I know I’ll be drinking this one all summer long, even if I won’t be making it to Hawaii this year.
