Upland Brewing Free Time Lager

Published By

When you think of a lager, you probably think of a light, golden, straw-colored beer. But Vienna Lager goes a different way. A fall favorite since the 1800s, it’s the color of fallen leaves and has a warming caramel flavor that’s also crisp. The Midwest brewers at Upland Brewing make their Free Time Lager with Vienna and Munich malts, ferment with a lager yeast developed from the Augustiner brewery in Munich, and hop with European-style American hops.

Bright copper with a balance of malt to hop-bite, Free Time is an easy-drinking autumn brew that’s properly sessionable at 4.7%. Also it just happens to go really well with a wool sweater and your best pair of leaf-crunching boots.
