Winnebago e-RV Concept

There is not a name more recognizable than Winnebago when it comes to the RV industry. If one thing is certain, it’s that many people are eagerly waiting to see if the Winnebago e-RV Concept will become available for their next motorhome adventure.

This all-electric motorhome is actually the first true EV RV featuring zero emissions from a major recreational vehicle manufacturer. Winnebago spent two years perfecting the e-RV into a fully functional all-electric RV featuring the same motorhome comfort and leisure you already love.

For example, some of the features of the e-RV include access to 350 volts for the water heater, roof-mounted air conditioner, and heat pump. Then, there is also 110 volts of AC power available for the induction cooker and refrigerator. You’ll feel right at home.

Winnebago uses an 86 kilowatt battery to provide a range of up to 125 miles while supplying power to on-board systems. They want to keep going back to the drawing table looking for efficient ways to increase range with future designs.

Stay connected inside the e-RV thanks to the high performance wireless connectivity. Winnebago provides a residential grade Wi-Fi network inside the e-RV using a modem with a router. This setup even makes high quality streaming a breeze no matter where you are.

Many materials you find throughout the e-RV are eco-friendly and sustainably sourced. This even includes using recycled cork rubber for the flooring. The walls of the e-RV are well insulated thanks to the woolen wall appliques.

Believe it or not, the chassis of the e-RV comes from the Ford Transit platform. After a few modifications from Lightning e-Motors, the Winnebago e-RV Concept was ready to move forward.

This modified electric vehicle platform allows for a lot of charging flexibility. You can charge the e-RV at home or at the campground. You should be able to reach a full charge in only 45 minutes at a high-current charging station.

While you’re waiting for the development of the flying Winnebago from Spaceballs, checking out the new electric RV from this industry icon seems like a great way to pass time. Save your Spacebucks. It might even be a good moment to start thinking about clever bumper stickers for your new e-RV of the future.
