The right pale ale is a refreshing, crisp beer that works well any time you want flavor, nuance and not quite as much of a boozy punch as an IPA. That’s why the pale ale has long been a pioneering craft beer style, and that’s why we’re glad to see brands like Birdsong Brewing continue to answer the call, step up to the plate and deliver tasty, flavorful — and in this case, spicy — pale ale.
The Birdsong Brewing Jalapeño Pale Ale lives up to the promise of a great pale ale. It’s made to be enjoyed year-round, and the base beer just so happens to be Birdsong’s Free Will Pale Ale, but with an added touch of fresh jalapeños (seeds removed). The overall effect is ever-so-slightly spicy, refreshing and made to be enjoyed alongside your favorite Mexican dishes (at least, that’s how we’d double-down on that spicy goodness).
