Gerber Armbar Slim Drive

Published By

The first Gerber Armbar, the Armbar Drive, was (and is) pretty slick, packing seven tools—including a fully-functional double-sided bit driver—into a pocket knife’s compact profile. The driver functioned like a tool, not a stop-gap substitute, allowing for actual repairs. With the Armbar Slim Drive, Gerber has pared the silhouette down even further.

The knife and driver are still there, offering a two-and-a-half-inch reach on the driver and that same length on the frame-lock blade. In a multi tool just over a half inch wide, there’s just not room for much else. But there was just enough space for one more tool. Thankfully, for all the beer drinkers out there who find themselves separated from the object of their desire by a pesky metal cap, Gerber made that tool a bottle opener.
